LT. COLONEL DANNY BARBER - FHPA Commander

Lt. Colonel Barber was appointed to the FHPA in 1980 and promoted to the Command Staff in 1993. Through his nearly 30 year career with the FHPA, he served in each leadership position in Troop L and is currently responsible for all aspects of the FHPA as State Commander. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and works as a District Manager Publix Supermarkets with responsibility for more than 2,000 associates. Lt. Colonel Barber serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Foundation. He resides in Palm Beach, Florida.

 
 

CHIEF K. SPENCE PRICE - Northern Region

Chief Price worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years before retiring in 2015. Since then he has devoted the majority of his time to working with the F.H.P.A. as well as working with first responders involved in critical incidents through the F.H.P Critical Incident Peer Support (CIPS) Team and the Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Team (TBRCIT).   Spence and his wife, Marcia, live in Apollo Beach, which is located south of Tampa.

 

CHIEF ELDEN (PAT) BRADLEY III - Southern Region

Chief Bradley joined the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary in July of 1987 in Troop L, Palm Beach.  Served as Troop Commander of Troop L in 2001 until assuming the command of Chief, Southern Region (Troops D, E, F, K and L) in October 2011.  Chief Bradley is a certified CJSTC Instructor for basic recruits and general instruction, First Aid Instructor and Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructor.   He holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and has been employed since 1984 with the Tax Collector, Palm Beach County with current position as Director of Tax Services.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Foundation and resides in Lake worth, Florida.

 

 

MAJOR BRAD FEUER, M.D., J.D. - Chief Troop Surgeon

Major Feuer has served with the FHPA since 2003. Major Feuer had developed the Troop Surgeon Program and is responsible for the state-wide health and safety of the members of the FHP and FHPA. He is responsible for developing member wellness programs as well as administering FHP’s regional Critical Incident Peer Support Team.  Dr. Feuer also serves as the Patrol’s Medical Director, with responsibilities at the training Academy, as well as the Southern Regional Tactical Response Team.  A board-certified family physician, as well as a licensed healthcare risk manager, attorney-at-law and member of the Florida Bar, he serves as a Clinical Professor and Regional Dean at both Nova Southeastern University, and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Major Feuer also serves as the Director of Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official at the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education.

 

MAJOR MIKE FRAHER - Training Division Coordinator

Major Fraher was appointed to the FHPA in 1984 in Troop L, Broward County. During his time in Ft. Lauderdale, he has held various positions through the rank of Captain/Unit Commander and Troop Executive Officer. In 1995, he received the Auxiliary Officer of the Year award. In 2005, he moved to Tallahassee and joined the Command Staff as Major/Training Coordinator. In this position, Major Fraher is responsible for law enforcement training issues and coordination of FHPA training events. Major Fraher has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University, and is a certified law enforcement instructor in general subjects as well as the high liability areas of firearms, driving, and first aid. Mike was recently married to his wife Marie, and they live in Havana, FL.

 

MAJOR JOHN PRESCOTT - Special Projects

Major Prescott was appointed to the FHPA in 2003 and assigned to Troop F-Venice. After being assigned 'Recruiter' for Troop F Auxiliary, then Lt. Prescott, developed a comprehensive, ambitious recruiting plan for the Troop. The plan included production of a variety of handouts, flyers, postcards and brochures. He also designed a 10' X 10' tent display with large banners to attract new members. All Troop F Units participated in attending community events. Within two years the membership of Troop F Auxiliary went from just short of 30 to more than 60 sworn members. As a result of this accomplishment Lt. Prescott was presented the "FHPA Trooper of the Year" award at the annual training meeting (ATM) in 2006. Lt. Prescott was then promoted to Captain and to Executive Officer in Troop F. He was later promoted to Commander of Troop F Auxiliary. Major Prescott played a major role in upgrading the reporting of activity statewide and providing useful analysis provided throughout the year to GHQ and all Troop Auxiliary and full time Majors (Commanders) state wide. Major Prescott was appointed to Special Projects at headquarters group in November of 2013.

MAJOR KEITH GEEL - State Recruiter Coordinator

Major Geel was appointed to the FHPA in 1984 and was assigned to Troop D-Deland.  During his time, he has held various positions to include Executive Officer and District Commander. Major Geel currently oversees statewide recruiting efforts and recruiting performance.  In addition, Geel has been instrumental in the placement of newly improved applicant processing and recruiting protocols.

MAJOR JOE GENNARI - Chief Financial Officer

Major Gennari was appointed as a Trooper with the FHPA in 2012 and was assigned to Troop L. He was promoted to the rank of Major after accepting the position of Chief Financial Officer in May of 2017. Gennari holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and works as Vice President and General Manager for Lennox NAS of North America. Joe and his wife, Jean, live in Boca Raton, Fl.
